Hai Duong’s Thanh Ha early-ripening lychees are being sold in the Australian Market Place system for 593,000 VND/kg, about 20,000 VND/kg higher than last year, according to Mai Xuan Thin, Director of Ho Chi Minh city-based Red Dragon Co., Ltd.

Earlier, the company purchased one ton of lychees in Thanh Ha gardens for export to Australia.

All of the gardens meet VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards and were strictly inspected in mid-May.

The lychees were shipped by air and preserved with modern technology, thus remaining fresh and delicious when sold in Australian supermarkets.

After the first batch, the business plans to continue to purchase 10-15 tons of lychees/day for export during the harvest season.
