Temperature further plummets

Hai Duong province continues to suffer severe cold weather on January 24, with temperature dropping to 8.5 - 9.5 degrees Celsius at 1 am, according to the provincial Hydrometeorological Station.

The agency predicted that temperature will stay around 10.5 - 12 degrees Celsius during the day and bottom out at 8 - 10 degrees Celsius in mountainous areas.

Appropriate authorities continue to recommend residents to keep warm, especially the elderly and children, to protect their health from the harmful cold weather.

This cold wave is forecast to last until January 26.
