Chairman of the Hai Duong provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau inspected the implementation of several public investment projects in Hai Duong city and Tu Ky district on May 31 morning.
During his visit to the Ta Quang Buu apartment complex construction project in Binh Han ward, Hai Duong city, Chairman Le Ngoc Chau acknowledged the proactive and urgent efforts of the investor and contractors.
Given the emergence of multiple challenges, especially the rising costs of essential materials such as steel, sand, and bricks, Chau emphasized the need for the contractors to carefully calculate and proactively secure input supplies to avoid any disruption to project progress or quality.
He urged the construction units to take advantage of favorable weather conditions, maintain flexibility in organizing construction activities, and ensure absolute safety throughout the project implementation.
Chairman Le Ngoc Chau instructed all construction units to allocate appropriate manpower and revise detailed construction schedules by June 5 with the goal of shortening the construction period and completing the project by 2025, ahead of the current plan which sets completion for the end of February 2026.
“Social housing is not low-quality housing; therefore, standards for materials, engineering, and aesthetics must match those of commercial housing,” Chau noted.
Inspecting the project to upgrade and expand provincial road 391’s section from Hai Duong city to the East–West trunk-road of Hai Duong province in Hai Duong city and Tu Ky district, the chairman highlighted the strategic importance of the project, not only for Hai Duong city and Tu Ky district alone but also for the entire province. It serves both transportation development, inter-provincial connectivity and broader political objectives of the province.
Chairman Le Ngoc Chau required local authorities to establish working groups to directly encourage residents to support site clearance for the project implementation.
“It is necessary to mobilize the entire political system to accelerate execution and assign specific responsibilities to hand over cleared grounds to the contractor by June 2025,” said Chau.
While inspecting the project to renovate and upgrade the extended section of provincial road 396 that links provincial roads 391 and 390, the chairman urged contractors to organize construction rationally, making full use of favorable weather conditions.
He called for sufficient deployment of machinery, labor, and materials to accelerate the project's progress and encouraged flexible approaches to overcome difficulties during execution.
