Hai Duong speeds up site clearance for industrial park construction

Chairman of the Hai Duong provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau asked investors to complete site clearance for industrial parks in the province within given dates.

The People's Committee of Hai Duong province reviewed the planning, site clearance, construction of technical infrastructure, and attraction of investment to industrial parks (IP) in the province at its 2nd April meeting on April 16 afternoon.

The province has so far established 18 IPs with a total planned area of about 2,973 ha, more than 1,020 ha of which have been cleared, nearly 751 ha rented out, and nearly 2,300 ha handed over to investors.

An additional 14 IPs and phase 2 of Kim Thanh 2 IP covering a total area of about 2,687.7 ha are yet to be built.

In the first quarter of 2025, investment flows into IPs approximated to 408 million USD, including 125.5 million USD in foreign direct investment.

Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau emphasized that the Party and the State are very interested in promoting investment projects to serve the double-digit growth target.

He suggested completion of site clearance for Gia Loc, Kim Thanh, extended Dai An, and 90% of Luong Dien - Ngoc Lien IPs by June 30, 2025 at the latest; Lai Cach IP by November 30, 2025 at the latest; and extended Phuc Dien and Tan Truong IPs by April 30, 2025 at the latest.

The provincial IPs Authority was assigned to coordinate with district People's Committees to work out a site clearance plan for each IP for implementation.

Investors who were handed over the land shall promptly build technical infrastructure and attract secondary investors as soon as possible.

The Department of Construction and the provincial IPs Authority shall shorten the time for appraisal and issuance of investment licenses for projects to five days (including holidays).

The provincial Police shall approve fire prevention and fighting items within a maximum of five days, including holidays, from the date of receiving complete documents...
