Investment drawn into Hai Duong industrial parks exceeds 2024 plan

Industrial parks (IP) in Hai Duong province lured some 597.6 million USD in foreign direct investment (FDI) from the beginning of 2024 to November 19, 19.5% higher than the plan for the year, reported the provincial IPs Authority.

The extended Phuc Dien and An Phat 1 IPs are typical examples in attracting secondary investors.

Specifically, the provincial IPs Authority licensed 47 new FDI projects with a total registered investment of about 354.4 million USD and approved the addition of approximately 243.2 million USD to 30 existing FDI projects.

Domestic direct investment (DDI) totaled 3,899.8 billion VND, a surge of 780% over the year’s plan, including 3,301.6 billion VND for 12 new DDI projects and about 598.2 billion VND for 12 old ones.

However, three projects were ceased during the reviewed period according to their investors’ decision, including two FDI projects with a total investment of 7.75 million USD and one DDI project worth 40.38 billion VND.

IPs in the province have so far attracted 419 secondary projects, including 328 FDI projects from 24 countries and territories with a total registered investment of 6.5 billion USD and 91 DDI ones worth about 18,650 billion VND.
