Leaders of Vietnam’s Hai Duong province and Spain’s Rivas-Vaciamadrid city have agreed to enhance cultural exchanges and investment cooperation between the two localities in the time to come.
A delegation of the Party Committee of Hai Duong province, led by Secretary Tran Duc Thang, had a meeting with José Masa, Mayor of Spain’s Rivas-Vaciamadrid city, on October 22 as part of their ongoing working trip to Europe.
Mayor José Masa and her subordinates informed the delegation about the city’s socio-economic situation, including projects on artificial intelligence, urban development, energy management, and sustainable environment that the city and businesses are interested in and can offer Hai Duong technical support in the coming time.
On his side, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Tran Duc Thang briefed the situation and some results of socio-economic development and foreign affairs of Vietnam and Hai Duong province in the past time.
Thang also provided information about the fields to which Hai Duong wishes to attract investment in the near future.
The leaders agreed to strengthen cultural exchanges and investment cooperation between the two localities in the time to come, especially in the fields of managing urban energy and developing solar energy systems for efficiency improvement, sustainable development, and environmental protection.
Rivas-Vaciamadrid is the 15th most populous city in the Community of Madrid and one of the fastest growing cities in Spain.
