Hai Duong to become attractive destination for international cultural exchanges

The province aims to annually organize major cultural diplomatic events and lobby for hosting of international and regional events by 2030.

The People's Committee of Hai Duong province has issued a plan to realize the Cultural Diplomacy Strategy to 2030 in the province.

Accordingly, the province aims to annually organize major cultural diplomatic events and lobby for hosting of international and regional events in culture, science, education, sports, tourism, etc. by 2030.

Hai Duong will contribute to helping the country achieve the goal of having over 60 internationally-recognized heritages and titles, more than 10 internationally-honored celebrities, and many more Vietnamese people running for or engaged in leading positions in regional and international forums for culture, science, education, etc. by that time.

The plan defines the specific objective of promoting and deepening the relationship and trust between Vietnam in general and Hai Duong province in particular and other countries, territories, and regional and international organizations.

Hai Duong targets the organization of large-scale cultural diplomacy activities and activities within the framework of Vietnam Week/Day in countries having comprehensive or strategic partnership with Vietnam and its traditional friendly neighbors by 2030.

The province will actively participate in shaping and promoting the identity of the ASEAN Socio-cultural Community as a member.

Hai Duong will pay attention to developing the cultural industry, expanding the markets of the province’s goods and services, becoming an attractive destination for international cultural exchanges, and promoting local brand building.

The provincial People's Committee also stated six groups of key tasks and measures to realize the objectives in the plan.
