Hai Duong promotes investment in Germany

Chairman of the Hai Duong provincial People’s Committee Trieu The Hung has had meetings with the Vietnamese General Consulate in Frankfurt and the Frankfurt Chamber of Commerce and Industry as part of his ongoing trip to Germany from July 22 – 25.

At the working session with the Vietnamese General Consulate in Frankfurt on July 22 afternoon, the provincial People’s Committee Chairman noted that Hai Duong province has been very active in implementing foreign affairs activities to promote investment cooperation and seek resources from abroad to serve the province's socio-economic development.

Hung introduced Hai Duong’s potential in terms of industrial parks and clusters, and products with potential and strengths for export such as garment, footwear, electronic components, and agricultural products.

This is also the province's strength and new direction in developing rural agricultural tourism and craft village tourism.

The provincial People’s Committee Chairman hoped that the general consulate will continue to pay attention to and help the province propagandize its potential and advantages, investment environment, and investment attraction policies as well as inviting German and Frankfurt investors to Hai Duong to learn about the investment environment, cooperate in carrying out projects…

In particular, the delegation expected coordination in training high quality human resources, sharing of experiences in preserving, embellishing, and promoting heritage…

“We want to connect, promote investment, and share experiences in the fields of cultural industry, cultural heritage preservation, and tourism economy development,” said Hung.

“We also hope that German investors will continue to learn more about Hai Duong’s investment environment, thereby finding investment opportunities in our province.”

Consul General of Vietnam in Frankfurt Luu Xuan Dong highly appreciated Hai Duong’s investment promotion programs in a number of European countries and pledged to coordinate more closely with Hai Duong to increase cooperative activities in many fields, especially on the occasion of the 50th founding anniversary of Vietnam - Germany diplomatic relations.

Working with the Frankfurt Chamber of Commerce and Industry on July 23 morning, Chairman of the Hai Duong provincial People’s Committee Trieu The Hung wanted to learn about vocational training for supply to industrial parks and clusters in the province.

Hai Duong also cares about preserving and restoring cultural heritage for cultural industrial economy; thus, Hung expected German units would share experiences in heritage conservation, restoration, and promotion.

During the working days in Germany, Hung and his entourage plan to survey the construction and operation of some famous German cultural and heritage works.

Later, the delegation will visit and promote investment in Austria and Italy until July 31.
