Visiting Hung Son Enterprise’s workshop in Vinh Hoa commune, Ninh Giang district at the end of 2023, we encountered a delegation of China’s Hong Kong Sky Group Trading Co., Ltd. who came to inspect the quality of the enterprise’s export cucumbers.

Reportedly, the two businesses last September contracted for export of 120 containers of pickled cucumbers worth more than 30 billion VND.

Frankma, Director General of Hong Kong Sky Group Trading Co., Ltd., was satisfied after having seen Hung Son Enterprise’s materials and production lines and tried export cucumbers.

He said the products were of good quality, meeting the contractual requirements and standards to enter supermarkets in Beijing - the most demanding market in China.

“This is the first time we have cooperated with a business in Hai Duong province. You have a very large source of clean agricultural materials,” praised Frankma.

“We have imported 80 containers of cucumbers from Hung Son Enterprise and will complete the 120 container contract by March 2024.

“Hopefully, after this cooperation, we will continue to work together to export other items, such as melons, pineapples, bamboo shoots, chili peppers, lychees, longans, tomatoes, onions, garlic, etc., to European and American countries.”

Hung Son Enterprise annually processes 7,000 – 9,000 tons of agricultural products like cucumbers, melons, pineapples, bamboo shoots, chili peppers, lychees, longans, tomatoes, onions, and garlic for export to Asian and American markets. The rest of its products are supplied for the domestic defense sector.

The enterprise’s revenue remained at 70 – 90 billion VND/year from 2019 – 2022 but surged to some 120 billion VND in 2023 thanks to the reopening of foreign markets and higher consumption demand.

The firm provides stable jobs for more than 200 local workers with per capita income of about 9 million VND/month.

Hung Son Enterprise has so far had six 3-star OCOP products, namely pickled cucumbers, pickled tomatoes, sugared lychees, salted chili peppers, salted cucumbers, and salted baby cucumbers, affirming its brand.

Since the OCOP recognition, plus the use of traceability stamps and product popularization on e-commerce platforms, the enterprise has received many orders for large supermarkets nationwide and export.

“With a desire to create clean and safe agricultural products of clear origin to improve their value, we have constantly innovated production lines and business methods to have good, reliable products for domestic and foreign partners,” said Chu Van Son, Director of Hung Son Enterprise.

Thanks to its reputation and product quality, Hung Son Enterprise has been increasingly asserting its brand in the agricultural product processing industry, being a companion to farmers in production development, and contributing to promoting local socio-economic development.
