The surge in newly established and reactivated businesses reflects growing confidence in Hai Duong province’s economic prospects and investment environment.
Hai Duong province recorded 1,034 newly established businesses from the beginning of 2025 to June 12, up 25% over the same period last year, with total registered capital exceeding 8,756 billion VND, according to the provincial Department of Finance.
In May alone, 311 new businesses entered the market, the highest monthly number of new registrations so far this year.
During the same period, 339 businesses in the province resumed operations, an increase of 32% year on year. On average, 67.8 businesses rejoined the market each month.
The rising numbers of newly established and reactivated businesses indicate positive signs of economic recovery and growth in Hai Duong in particular and in Vietnam as a whole, which in turn builds investor confidence.
In addition, the province’s policies to encourage and support startups, along with efforts to streamline administrative procedures, have proven effective, paving the way for business formation and development.
At present, Hai Duong has approximately 21,000 businesses, with total registered capital exceeding 250 trillion VND.
The province aims to increase the number of newly established businesses in 2025 by 10% compared to 2024. Last year, the province recorded 2,000 new business registrations, up 6.2% from 2023.
