The authorities of Kim Thanh district in Hai Duong province and relevant units are urgently recovering land and supporting compensation to soon hand over the site to the investor of Kim Thanh 2 industrial park project.
Kim Thanh 2 industrial park (IP) is the largest IP project ever in Hai Duong province.
In early April 2025, many households in Tam Ky commune were informed about the project by the local authorities.
In Dai Duc commune these days, members of the district Compensation, Support, and Resettlement Council along with local authorities are going door to door to engage with residents affected by land acquisition for propaganda, mobilization, and preparation of compensation and support plans.
The district authorities have to recover 234.63 ha of land in the communes of Tam Ky and Dai Duc for phase 1 of the project.
It is expected that site clearance will finish by June 30, while land recovery and site clearance activities only began in late March.
Thus, since early April, involved units and the council members have been working without days off, often beyond regular hours, to accelerate the progress, according to Nguyen Hong Thanh, Director of the district Construction Investment Project Management Board.
By May 20, 3.85 ha of agricultural land of the entire 90 households in Tam Ky commune had been cleared for phase 1 of the project.
The project information was publicly announced in all hamlets of Dai Duc commune, covering 2,600 affected households.
Relevant units and local authorities are checking agricultural land, crops, and other assets of nearly 600 households, and reviewing 03-type land of Dai Duc residents to issue official land acquisition notices. The total number of affected households is estimated to exceed 2,000.
Hung Yen Investment and Development Group JSC, a subsidiary of Kinh Bac City Development Holding Corporation, is the investor of phase 1 of the project to build Kim Thanh 2 IP.
The project covers 234.63 ha of land across the communes of Dai Duc and Tam Ky and has an investment of 3,403 billion VND.
