Lao students to be supported with over 1.8 billion VND to learn Vietnamese in Hai Duong

The People’s Council of Hai Duong province has issued a resolution on funding the training of students from Vientiane province, Laos in Hai Duong.

Accordingly, 15 Laotian students will be assisted with training costs; living expenses; initial supplies such as clothes, school bags, blankets, and mosquito nets, and travel expenses from Laos to Vietnam.

The support is expected to be valued at over 1.8 billion VND, taken from the provincial State budget, and last from December 15, 2024 to November 30, 2025.

Earlier, the Department of Education and Training of Hai Duong province jointly received 15 Lao students who came to study at Hai Duong University under a cooperation agreement between Hai Duong and Vientiane provinces for the 2024-2028 period.

The students will learn Vietnamese in the first year at Hai Duong University then other majors at a number of universities in Hai Duong.
