Lao Ambassador to Vietnam Sengphet Houngboungnuang will pay attention to promoting cooperation in developing hi-tech and organic agriculture between Laos and Vietnam, including Hai Duong.
Sengphet made the confirmation at a meeting with Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Trieu The Hung on March 29.
The ambassador thanked the provincial leaders for their warm welcome.
He was also grateful to the provincial Party, authorities, and people for support of Laos in coping with Covid-19, restoring and developing society and economy, training human resources, etc.

Hung informed the ambassador and his entourage about the provincial socio-economic development, adding that Hai Duong’s economic growth in the first three months of the year was estimated at 8.4%, in the top 10 of Vietnam.
Hai Duong also has many strengths in developing industry, agriculture, culture and tourism.
The chairman of the provincial People's Committee hoped that through the embassy, Lao ministries and sectors will cooperate and exchange experience in agroforestry development and facilitate the provincial officials’ learning and practical research in Laos.
After the meeting, the delegation of the Embassy of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in Vietnam visited a number of relics and economic development models in the province.
