Hai Duong province is forecast to experience sunny to hot weather, interspersed with scattered rainstorms, in the coming days.
A hot low-pressure zone from the west is likely to intensify across Hai Duong and gradually extend eastward from the night of May 5 through May 8, according to the provincial Hydrometeorological Station.
During this period, variable cloudiness is expected to occur in the province with sunny days, including some hot days, and light rain in some areas at night. Southeastern winds will prevail at level 2, with daytime temperatures peaking at around 35°C.
Around May 9 – 10, a weak cold front is forecast to strengthen and push the hot air mass southward. As a result, Hai Duong will see increased cloud cover with scattered showers and thunderstorms.
Localized rainstorms may bring tornadoes, lightning, hail, and gusty winds. During this time, the weather will be relatively cool, with temperatures ranging between 24°C and 31°C.
In the following days, the western hot zone is predicted to continue expanding eastward, bringing variable clouds, dry nights, and sunny days, accompanied by southeastern winds at level 2.
Experts warn that prolonged heat combined with low humidity may increase the risk of fires and explosions in residential areas due to high electricity usage.
Prolonged exposure to high temperatures may also cause dehydration, exhaustion, or even heatstroke.
On stormy days, severe weather such as tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong winds may topple trees, damage houses and public infrastructure, and pose significant threats to human safety.
