A new heat wave is forecast to cover Hai Duong province after thunderstorms end on August 26.
Hai Duong province is forecast to be affected by a trough combined with high-altitude wind convergence on August 26, resulting in cloudy weather, with scattered heavy rain and thunderstorms in the late afternoon.
It will be sunny and windy at level 2 or 3 during the day, according to the provincial Hydrometeorological Station.
The trough is predicted to gradually weaken from August 27 – 30, making it rainless and sunny, even burning hot, in the province.
During the hot days, temperature will increase by 2 – 3 degrees Celsius, ranging between 26 and 34 degrees Celsius.
From September 1 onwards, the trough is expected to be active again, causing showers and scattered thunderstorms at dusk and night.
Whirlwinds, lightning, hail, and gusts of wind are likely to occur during thunderstorms.
