Hai Duong faces large-scale heatwave

A western depression is forecast to affect Hai Duong province from August 5 – 7, making it cloudy and sunny by day and showery and thundery in some places by night, according to the provincial Hydrometeorological Station.

A large-scale heatwave is likely to hit the province from August 8 – 10, with the highest temperature 34 – 35 degrees Celsius.

High-altitude wind convergence is predicted to form on August 11 and last until August 14, bringing rain, even showers and scattered thunderstorms, which is expected to ease the intense heat in the province.

However, there is a possibility of whirlwinds, lightning, and gusts of wind during thundershowers.
