The first heat wave in 2024 is forecast to envelop Hai Duong province in the coming days.
A western depression is likely to develop and expand southeastward, making Hai Duong province sunny and sporadically hot on April 1, forecast the provincial Hydrometeorological Station.
Temperature during the day may range between 33 – 35 degrees Celsius, and humidity 60 – 65%.
The heat will become more intense from April 2 – 4, with temperature reaching 34 – 36 degrees Celsius. This is the first heat wave in 2024, which comes earlier than the average of many years.
Rain, even showers, is expected to occur in the province on April 5 night and morning, lowering temperature to 23 – 28 degrees Celsius.
Continental high pressure is predicted to combine with aloft wind convergence on April 6 and 7, resulting in lots of clouds, rain, and downpours in Hai Duong.
Temperature in the province will further drop to 22 – 26 degrees Celsius.
