Hai Duong’s import-export turnover nears 3.27 billion USD in Q1

Ford Vietnam Co., Ltd. ranks second in the import group with more than 153 million USD in import turnover

Hai Duong province’s import-export turnover reached nearly 3.27 billion USD in the first quarter of 2023, down 8% year on year.

The province is one of six provinces and cities nationwide that recorded over 2 billion USD in export turnover during the period.

Brother Industries (Vietnam) Ltd. took the lead in both import and export in the province in the first three months of the year with nearly 207 million USD and more than 234 million USD in import and export turnover, respectively.

Hyundai Kefico Vietnam Co., Ltd. was the second largest exporter in the province in the 1st quarter with export turnover exceeding 133 million USD, followed by Sumidenso Vietnam Co., Ltd. with nearly 122 million USD in export turnover.

The limited liability companies of Ford Vietnam and Laurelton Diamonds came second and third in the import group with more than 153 million USD and nearly 125 million USD in import turnover, respectively.

The Hai Duong Customs Branch processed close to 74,000 import and export declarations in the first three months of the year, a slight decrease of 0.4% compared to the same period in 2022.

The unit collected more than 650 billion VND for the State budget during the reviewed period, 26% higher than the target assigned by the General Department of Customs and up 13.6% year on year.
