As the major export markets gradually recovered and overcame the recession period, demand for goods increased and orders returned to businesses in Hai Duong province.
Hai Duong province posted a trade surplus of over 1.7 billion USD in the first 11 months of 2024, reported the provincial Statistics Office.
The province’s export value during January-November was estimated at 9.518 billion USD, up 9.8% compared to the same period in 2023.
November alone witnessed a year-on-year surge of 20.3% in foreign trade, with the total value reaching 971 million USD.
In particular, the province's export turnover in July and August both exceeded 1 billion USD thanks to high value of exported garments, textiles, footwear, electronic components, office machines, and electric wires and cables.
The high rises were attributed to positive signals from international markets, including Hai Duong's main export ones like the US and the European Union.

In the context of high exports, demand for imported raw materials, machinery, and equipment for production also sharply increased.
The province’s import value was estimated at 791 million USD in November and 7.763 billion USD in the first 11 months of 2024, up 26.1% and 11.6% year on year, respectively.
