Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Rogelio Polanco Fuentes hoped that Vietnam in general and Hai Duong province in particular would have many practical and specific cooperation activities with Cuba.
Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee Tran Duc Thang held a reception for the new Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Rogelio Polanco Fuentes at the committee’s headquarters on March 5.
Thang stressed the friendly relationship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba in all fields and hoped that through Ambassador Rogelio Polanco Fuentes, the fine relationship between the two Parties, States, and peoples would continue to be fostered.
The Provincial Party Committee Secretary expressed his desire that the ambassador would be a bridge in further developing the relationship between Vietnam and Cuba in general, and between Hai Duong province and Cuban localities in particular with specific activities.
The Hai Duong leader suggested that Cuba continue to support Hai Duong in establishing cooperative relations with a number of Cuban authorities and localities; and create favorable conditions for Hai Duong-based businesses to explore cooperation and investment opportunities in Cuba.
“In the coming time, Hai Duong will send delegations to Cuba for cooperation with Cuban localities and authorities in a number of fields,” said Thang.
Ambassador Rogelio Polanco Fuentes emphasized that 2025 is the "Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Year" and hoped that Vietnam in general and Hai Duong province in particular would have many practical and specific cooperation activities with Cuba towards the 65th founding anniversary of Vietnam - Cuba diplomatic relations (December 2, 1960 - 2025).
At the meeting, the two officials agreed that the two sides would speed up cooperation and twinning between Hai Duong and a Cuban province.
