Secretary of the Hai Duong provincial Party Committee Tran Duc Thang and Cuban Ambassador Orlando Nicolas Hernandez Guillen have agreed to form twinning ties between Hai Duong and a Cuban province.
Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Orlando Nicolas Hernandez Guillen has suggested Hai Duong form twinning ties with a province of Cuba.
The Cuban diplomat made the remark during a reception for him at the headquarters of the Party Committee of Hai Duong province on October 16.
Ambassador Hernandez Guillen believed that the twinning relationship will bring about mutual development for Hai Duong and the Cuban locality.
He expected that Hai Duong will have many programs and activities contributing to advances in the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries, especially after the State visit of Party General Secretary and President To Lam to Cuba at the end of September.
For his side, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Tran Duc Thang expressed his good impressions on the land and people of Cuba.
“For the special affection and relationship between the two countries and peoples, Hai Duong is always ready to cooperate and share development experiences with Cuban localities, especially in our strong fields,” Thang affirmed.
The provincial Party chief hailed Ambassador Hernandez Guillen’s twinning idea and promised to soon make it come true.
He hoped that the diplomat will continue to be a bridge for Hai Duong and Cuban localities to have more cooperation and support activities to practically and effectively contributing to fostering the traditional solidarity and special friendship between Vietnam and Cuba.
