Hai Duong confectioneries prepare for Mid-Autumn Festival

A number of confectioneries in Hai Duong city like Huy Cong and Van Giang are focusing on producing large quantities of moon cakes for supply to the market.

Huy Cong facility plans to make 20,000 moon cakes, equivalent to last year’s figure.

Van Giang establishment will produce more than 3,000 cakes and can increase the quantity depending on customers’ orders.

In recent years, these confectioneries have produced moon cakes with a variety of new fillings from mung beans, green tea, pineapple leaves, durian, etc. in addition to traditional mixed ones.

This year’s moon cakes are priced higher than the previous year due to about 10% increase in the price of input materials.

Huy Cong is offering a price of 50,000 VND for special moon cakes and 30,000 VND for the others, while Van Giang is selling each moon cake for 20,000 – 75,000 VND depending on weight.

These establishments actively sell goods through e-commerce platforms and social networking sites.
