Ford Vietnam imports more cars, contributes less to budget

Ford Vietnam's pickup trucks sell well

Most of the imported cars were Ford Everest, Ford Territory (5.965 cars), and pickup trucks like Ford Ranger CKD, Ford Ranger Raptor, and Ford Ranger CBU (7.694 cars).

As for domestically manufactured cars, big sales were still mainly from key lines, such as Ford Ecosport (1.118 cars) and Ford Transit (642 cars).

Despite a rise in the total number of cars sold, a large number of imported cars caused the special consumption tax to be declared and paid at the Hai Phong Customs Department. Therefore, the company only paid VND816.2 billion to the budget in Hai Duong in eight months, down about 4.4% compared to the same period last year.
