Thanh Ha farmers earn 1,000 billion VND from lychee

Thanh Ha farmers had finished harvesting all lychees in the locality by June 18, with an output of approximately 25,000 tons.

This year's lychee harvest season only lasted one month (normally two) because of a 50% decrease in production compared to last year’s season.

Nonetheless, with an average selling price of 40,000 VND/kg, three times higher than last year’s figure, growers still earned some 1,000 billion VND from lychee, exclusive of seasonal revenues from the fruit.

Due to the rarity, lychees were mainly consumed domestically, accounting for about 60%. 25% of lychees were exported to China, and the remaining 15% to fastidious countries.
