Taiwan has been a traditional working market of Hai Duong laborers for years.
According to the Department of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs, close to 8,500 people in the province went abroad to work under contract in the past nine months, nearly double the figure in the same period last year.
Among them, close to 4,300 people went to work in Taiwan, China, nearly half of the province's export workers. This is also the leading market in terms of the number of Hai Duong laborers working abroad under contract in nine months.

After Taiwan, the number of laborers working in Japan ranked second with more than 3,900 people, up nearly three times year on year.
The number of people working in South Korea, Singapore, and Malaysia slightly increased due to low recruitment demand there.
