Businesses in Hai Duong province have recently resumed production and business and expanded consumption markets, resulting in high recruitment demand.
The labor utilization index of Hai Duong-based industrial businesses have constantly increased for the past three months, according to the provincial Statistics Office.
The index posted a year-on-year increase of 1.5% in the first quarter of 2024 and 3.3% in March, the highest in the reviewed period.
Notably, labor-intensive fields such as textile, garment, footwear, electricity, and electronics recorded high rises in the labor utilization index.
It was thanks to quick production and business restoration and market expansion of enterprises in the province in the first three months of the year.
Many companies increased overtime instead of reducing or extending working hours, helping workers increase their income.
The provincial Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs is coordinating with businesses to collect information about recruitment needs to assist workers seeking jobs in the locality, especially enterprises in industrial parks.
