[Photos] Hai Duong develops craft villages in association with OCOP

The new-style rural building program of Hai Duong province has brought a breath of fresh air to local craft villages.

Many products of craft villages in the province have participated in the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program and certified, such as Phu Loc wine, Chau Khe jewelry, Cay ceramics, Hoi Yen noodles, and Mat Son brooms.

OCOP certification is an opportunity for entities to bring into play local cultural and historical values and increase incomes for rural residents.

The brown-patterned jar made by Vu Xuan Hung in Cay hamlet, Long Xuyen commune, Binh Giang district, is the first ceramic product to receive a 4-star OCOP certificate in the province

Many other products of Cay pottery village have much potential to gain OCOP certification

Chau Khe jewelry village in Thuc Khang commune, Binh Giang district, is the first craft village in the province to have OCOP products in 2020

Around 50% of the population of Dong Giao hamlet, Luong Dien commune, Cam Giang district, (mainly young laborers) are working as carpenters. One product in the village, a wooden vase of An Hai Carpentry Co., Ltd., has achieved a 3-star OCOP certificate

The traditional incense making profession in Quoc Tuan commune, Nam Sach district, has created jobs for many local workers. Two incense products of two local households have earned 3- and 4-star OCOP certificates
