About 70% of carrots in Duc Chinh commune are exported each year, mainly to South Korea, Japan, the Middle East, etc., in which the South Korean market consumes nearly 60%.
Duc Chinh carrots are mainly exported to South Korea
According to the Agricultural Service Cooperative of Duc Chinh commune, Cam Giang district, by December 27, nine South Korean businesses had surveyed and contracted for underwriting of carrots in the 2022-2023 winter-spring crop.
About 70% of carrots in Duc Chinh commune are exported each year, mainly to South Korea, Japan, the Middle East, etc., in which the South Korean market consumes nearly 60%.
This winter crop, there are 340 ha of carrots in Duc Chinh commune. In addition, 215 households in the commune hired fields in the provinces of Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, and Thai Binh and several districts in Hai Duong province to grow about 1,000 ha of carrots.
To date, early carrots have been harvested with productivity of about 1.6 tons/ sao (360 m²) and sold for around 8,000 VND/ kg.
