The manufacturing and processing sector plays a pivotal role in Hai province’s industry, contributing significantly to employment and boosting production capacity.

The sector remained a highlight of the province’s economy in 2024, achieving a growth rate of 14.17% and making up 5.88% of Hai Duong’s Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP).

The province’s Index of Industrial Production (IIP) rose by 13% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2025, according to the Department of Industry and Trade. Among the key contributors was the manufacturing and processing sector, which posted a 17.5% increase, exceeding its growth target of 14.7%.

Several products surpassed their production targets, including automobile assembly with 7,663 units (up 5%) and animal feed production with more than 654,000 tons (up 2.6%).

The sector's strong performance was fueled by a series of newly launched or expanded projects, including those of the limited liability companies of Guangxun Vietnam Electronics Technology, Bonsen Vietnam Creative Technology, Sumiden Vietnam Automotive Wire, and Ducar Vietnam Technology.

Ducar Vietnam Technology Co., Ltd., located in Phu Thai industrial park, Kim Thanh district, is a fully Chinese-invested enterprise specializing in the assembly of agricultural and forestry machinery.

The company’s representative reported a positive outlook from European markets, with the factory having operated at full capacity since the beginning of the year.

The firm is currently employing nearly 1,000 workers with per capita income of 12 million VND/ month. It exported more than 1.1 million products in 2024. For 2025, export volume is projected to increase by over 16%, with revenue expected to rise by approximately 21.6% year-on-year.

Duc Anh Global JSC., based in Kinh Mon town, specializes in the production of mechanical products used in cement, thermal power, and light industries. The company produced 95,500 units in 2024, exceeding its target by 12%, and aims for a 40% increase in production in 2025.

Beyond machinery and mechanical parts, Hai Duong is also home to many agricultural processing firms. Among them is Ameii Vietnam JSC. in Thanh Ha district, a leading Vietnamese brand in the export of organic fruits and vegetables. Its portfolio includes fresh lychees and processed products such as dried and frozen fruits and spices.

All Ameii’s products meet international standards, including VietGAP, GlobalGAP, Organic, and ISO 9001:2008, enabling exports to demanding markets such as Japan, South Korea, the US, the EU, Singapore, and China.

To achieve industrial production growth targets, particularly in manufacturing and processing, the industry and trade sector has been proactive in addressing enterprises’ difficulties, facilitating production, and closely monitoring investment projects, especially key works.

The Department of Industry and Trade has drastically directed the improvement of the provincial investment and business environment, focusing on simplifying administrative procedures, enhancing online public services, and refining support policies for small- and medium-sized enterprises.

With current momentum, the manufacturing and processing sector is steadily affirming its role as a growth driver, contributing to the realization of Hai Duong’s detailed 2025 economic growth targets.
