Large-scale hot weather to return to Hai Duong

Hai Duong will be hit by another large-scale heat wave around the end of this month and early next month after several days of scattered rain, with temperature reaching 37 degrees Celsius.

It will be sunny in Hai Duong province on May 29 due to the influence of a western hot depression which tends to develop and extend southeastwards, forecast the provincial Hydrometeorological Station.

Some areas may experience hot weather, with the highest temperature 33 – 35 degrees Celsius.

A large-scale heat wave is predicted to hit the province from May 30 to June 2.

Temperature may peak at 37 degrees Celsius in Chi Linh city, Kinh Mon provincial town, and Kim Thanh, Nam Sach, and Thanh Ha districts.

Meanwhile, Cam Giang, Binh Giang, Thanh Mien, Gia Loc, Tu Ky, and Ninh Giang districts and Hai Duong city may suffer the highest temperature of 36 degrees Celsius.

It will be cloudy, with scattered showers and thunderstorms, from the night of June 2 – 4 as the depression is compressed by part of a northern continental ridge.

There is a possibility of whirlwinds, lightning, and gusts of wind during thundershowers.

The weather will become cooler, with temperature ranging between 26 and 32 degrees Celsius.

Moderate and heavy rain occurred in the province from May 25 – 28. A shower that lasted nearly one hour at noon of May 26 caused some roads in Hai Duong city to be slightly flooded.
