Harmful, severe cold expected to hit Hai Duong late

8 – 10 cold spells are forecast to affect Hai Duong province this winter, with frequency and intensity gradually increasing from the second half of November, according to the provincial Hydrometeorological Station.

This winter is likely to be warmer, with monthly temperature 0.5 – 1.5 degrees Celsius higher than the average of many years.

Severe and harmful cold is expected to occur later and less frequently than the average of many years.

The province may experience 2 – 4 damaging cold spells from the end of December 2023 to January 2024.

Thankfully, they are unlikely to last long, only 2 – 4 days each, during which temperature may drop to 10 – 12 degrees Celsius.

Rainfall this winter is forecast to be less than the average of many years.
