Hai Duong's industrial production grows 13.4% in Q1

Hai Duong’s index of industrial production (IIP) in the first three months of 2024 increased by 13.4% year on year, according to the provincial Statistics Office.

The province’s IIP in March alone surged by 27.6% from the previous month and 13.5% as compared to the figure in the same period last year.

Up to 25 out of 28 industries in the province achieved high growth rates in the first quarter of the year, 18 of which grew by over 10%.

Some major industries posted high increases in the IIP, greatly affecting the overall growth of the entire industry, including electrical equipment manufacturing with 40.5%, electricity production and distribution (17.3%), motor vehicle manufacturing (16.4%), and electronic product manufacturing (9.8%).
