Hai Duong’s fresh lychees exported to Thailand for first time

This is also the first time the provincial fresh lychees have been exported to this market.

On June 5, the enterprise will ship an additional 10 tons of fresh lychees to Thailand by sea.

As planned, the company will weekly export 20 tons of fresh lychees to Thai partners for supply to convenience stores and supermarkets there.

According to Nguyen Khac Tien, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company, Thailand is not a very strict market but known as a kingdom of fruits, especially tropical ones. Therefore, the successful export of Hai Duong’s fresh lychees to Thailand proves that specialty agricultural products of the province are competitive in any market.

Export lychees are picked in cultivation areas following international standards in Thanh Ha district. The company buys them at prices 30 – 40% higher than the market ones.

The firm daily exports 20 – 30 tons of fresh lychees to Japan, Singapore, Australia, etc.
