Hai Duong province moved up one spot in the Digital Transformation Index rankings for 2022 compared to the previous year.
Hai Duong province ranked 13th out of 63 provinces and cities in the country in the Digital Transformation Index (DTI) rankings for 2022, the Ministry of Information and Communications has announced.
The province moved up one spot compared to the previous year, scoring 0.6383 point, according to the ministry.
It also placed Hai Duong 15th, 7th, and 4th nationwide in terms of digital government, digital economy, and digital society, respectively, in the first half of 2023.
Hai Duong was one of nine provinces and cities achieving level A, the highest on a 5-level scale, for public service portals in the first 6 months of the year.
89% of documents in the province were processed online, a surge of 33% compared to the end of 2022.
The province came 12th in the country in terms of payment of fees and charges via banks, e-wallets, and intermediaries with 100,000 transactions worth nearly 40 billion VND.
This is the first time the Ministry of Information and Communications has evaluated public service portals of ministries, branches, and localities.
It aims to contribute to identifying and working out measures to basically change online public services to improve the quality of provision and efficiency of use.
