Hai Duong promotes digital transformation to improve living and working environment quality

Hai Duong province has achieved many important results in digital transformation for the past three years, affirmed Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Tran Duc Thang on March 26.

Thang made the remark at a program co-organized by the Department of Information and Communications and a number of telecom and technology businesses to mark the provincial Digital Transformation Day 2024 themed "Digital transformation creates a digital citizen model".

Hai Duong is one of the first localities in Vietnam to issue a resolution on digital transformation three years ago, according to the provincial Party chief.

Party committees and authorities in the province have paid attention to directing and implementing digital transformation in all aspects of work ever since.

“As a result, Hai Duong ranked 14th for two years and one year came 13^th among 63 provinces and cities nationwide in terms of digital transformation,” said Thang.

This year, Hai Duong will focus on building synchronous digital government and developing digital economy and society to truly be important and decisive driving forces for rapid and sustainable socio-economic development, thereby contributing to promoting administrative procedure reform and improving the investment environment; the operational efficiency of Party committees, authorities, agencies in the political system, and businesses; and people's lives.

At the event, delegates pressed the button to launch Smart-Hai Duong application and the provincial three-level portal.

The Smart-Hai Duong application provides official and transparent information channels, allowing easy access to online public services, lookup, exploration of locations, implementation of transactions and services, and participation in community activities in Hai Duong.

This application can be downloaded from App Store and CH Play app stores.

Meanwhile, the three-level portal at https://haiduong.gov.vn consists of the provincial portal and component ones of departments, sectors, and People's Committees at district and commune levels.

The application and portal will be effective bridges between people and businesses and the government, providing favorable conditions for them to communicate with authorities, take part in developing and implementing policies, solutions, services, etc., contributing to effectively promoting sustainable socio-economic development.

On the sidelines of the event, technology companies arranged booths of solutions and products on digital transformation and 5G mobile network experience.
