Hai Duong Party chief receives Japanese ambassador

Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Ito Naoki hoped that Hai Duong provincial leaders would continue facilitating Japanese enterprises’ operation and expansion in the locality.

Hai Duong province always creates favorable conditions and promptly removes arising difficulties for the business community, including Japanese enterprises, to operate and develop, affirmed Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Tran Duc Thang at a reception for Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Ito Naoki on May 8 morning.

Hai Duong is now home to 66 Japanese-invested projects with a combined registered capital of over 1.7 billion USD, according to Secretary Thang.

“Based on the friendly cooperation between Vietnam and Japan, Hai Duong province expects further exchanges and cooperation with Japanese localities and partners,” said Thang.

The secretary also noted the significance of the memorandum of cooperation signed between Hai Duong and Japan’s Kagoshima prefecture in 2019, which outlined collaboration in delegation exchanges, cooperation between relevant bodies, human resource training, agriculture, healthcare, etc.

Hai Duong focuses on attracting projects using high, clean, and environmentally friendly technology, he went on, hoping that the ambassador will continue to pay attention and connect Japanese enterprises to learn about and invest in the province.

“Hai Duong will continue to create all favorable conditions for Japanese businesses to operate and develop,” Thang added.

Ambassador Ito expressed appreciation for the warm welcome and commended Hai Duong’s advantages for investment attraction and development, such as a strategic location and abundant human resources.

He hoped that the provincial leaders would continue facilitating Japanese enterprises’ operation and expansion in the locality.

He also suggested Hai Duong continue sending skilled workers to Japan and deepening the Hai Duong – Kagoshima partnership.

Earlier on the same day, Ambassador Ito attended and cut the ribbon at the inauguration ceremony of the Hai Duong campus of Japan International School in the EcoRivers urban area of Hai Duong city.
