Hai Duong nears 2023 FDI attraction target in nine months

Hai Duong completed 96% of the 2023 investment attraction plan within the first nine months of the year.

Hai Duong lures 392.5 million USD in FDI in the first nine months of 2023, meeting 96% of the year’s plan

Hai Duong province attracted 392.5 million USD in foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first nine months of 2023, up 18.8% year on year and equivalent to 96% of the year’s plan, according to the provincial Department of Planning and Investment.

The increase in FDI attraction was attributed to the provincial authorities’ promotion of investment and urgent completion of technical infrastructure of industrial parks to draw investment.

The province licensed 59 new projects with a total registered capital of 275 million USD and approved the addition of 116.5 million USD to 26 existing projects during the reviewed period.

The remaining FDI came from nine capital contributions and share purchases of foreign investors.

The province aims to attract 410 million USD and disburse at least 750 million USD in FDI in 2023.

FDI businesses are expected to earn 7 billion USD in revenue and pay more than 400 million USD to the State budget this year.
