Hai Duong lures nearly 300 million USD in FDI in eight months

Hai Duong province attracted nearly 300 million USD in foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first eight months of 2023, up 3% year on year, completing 73% of the year’s plan, according to the Department of Planning and Investment.

The province licensed 44 new projects with a total registered capital of 184.5 million USD and approved the addition of 105.9 million USD to 25 existing projects.

Most of the FDI projects were in the field of processing and manufacturing industry.

The remaining FDI came from share purchases and capital contributions.

There are 514 FDI projects in Hai Duong province with a total registered capital of 9.38 billion USD.

The province is striving to lure 410 million USD in FDI this year.
