New FDI projects in Hai Duong surge sixfold

Hai Duong attracts a lot of new FDI projects in 2023 (illustrative image)

Hai Duong province lured 256 million USD in foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first seven months of 2023, equivalent to the same period last year, according to the Department of Planning and Investment.

The province recorded increases in both the number of new FDI projects and amount of investment.

Hai Duong licensed 38 new FDI projects with a total capital of 178.5 million USD during the reviewed period, a surge of about six times year on year.

Most of the projects are in the manufacturing and processing industry and from the countries and territories of Hong Kong (China), Singapore, Republic of Korea, China, Germany, etc.

Besides, 77 million USD was added to 21 underway projects, and foreign investors did five transactions of capital contribution and share purchases from the beginning of the year.
