Hai Duong has had 1,500 ha of vegetables and fruit trees certified to meet Vietnamese and Global Good Agricultural Practices (VietGAP and GlobalGAP) thanks to the provincial support.

Hai Duong province has carried out the project “Developing concentrated commodity agricultural production with high-tech application and organic agriculture in the 2021 – 2025 period with orientation to 2030” for more than two years.
During this time, local people were helped to build 2.15 ha of poly houses and hire over 140 ha of land for large-scale production.
The provincial authorities also supported the expansion of winter crops to 212 ha; granting of VietGAP and GlobalGAP certificates to 476.8 ha of vegetables and fruit trees, Good Animal Husbandry Practices for Swine in Vietnam (VietGAHP) certificates to 36 livestock facilities and 86.5 ha of aquaculture; trade promotion for agricultural products, etc.
The assistance cost nearly 29 billion VND.
Thereby, Hai Duong has so far had 1,500 ha of vegetables and fruit trees certified to meet VietGAP and GlobalGAP, 421.7 ha of organic farming, and 86.5 ha of VietGAP-certified aquaculture.
These support activities contributed to improving production value, creating high-quality and distinctive agricultural products in the market, ensuring consumers’ safety, and attracting more domestic and foreign investors to the provincial agriculture.
