Hai Duong certified to fulfill new-style rural building

Prime Minister (PM) Pham Minh Chinh congratulated and praised Hai Duong Party, authorities, and people for their efforts and proud achievements in new-style rural building (NRB).

Chinh gave the remark at a ceremony held on March 15 to announce his decision recognizing Hai Duong’s fulfillment of the NRB task.

The PM said the Party and State have set the goal of developing ecological agriculture, modern rural areas, and civilized farmers as agriculture, farmers, and rural areas hold a strategic position in the cause of national construction, renovation, and defense.

Located in the Red River Delta, a key agricultural production center of the country, Hai Duong has for years made many efforts and important contributions to the overall achievement of the whole country in realizing the National Target Program for NRB.

Hai Duong is a bright spot in agricultural restructuring by value chain with high competitiveness for having a lot of strong agricultural products with export advantages, such as lychees, carrots, longans, suckling pigs, vegetables, and tubers.

“Hai Duong should bring into play its results and encourage people from all walks of life to jointly contribute to NRB to become richer, more beautiful, civilized, and modern besides industrial development to turn into a modern-oriented industrial province,” suggested Chinh.

The PM believed that Hai Duong would make a lot of achievements in socio-economic development and NRB with new spirit, motivation, determination, and aspirations.

Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Tran Duc Thang absorbed the PM’s instructions on behalf of the provincial Party, authorities, and people, determining that NRB is a central, comprehensive, long-term, regular, and continuous task.

He affirmed that the certification of Hai Duong to accomplish NRB is an honor and pride but also great responsibility of the provincial Party, authorities, and people.

“Hai Duong will continue to strive to fulfill the 2021 – 2025 NRB program towards ecological agriculture, modern rural areas, and civilized farmers set by the 13th National Party Congress,” said Thang.

The province achieved important results over more than 10 years of realizing the National Target Program for NRB.

Rural areas markedly prospered, socio-economic infrastructure was improved, the agricultural sector was positively restructured, and people’s material and spiritual lives were constantly bettered.

All 178 communes in the province met new-style rural standards, with 43 of them recognized to be advanced new-style rural communes and four exemplary ones.

Hai Duong is the 5th locality in the country to have accomplished the NRB task.
