At 0:00 on 24th November, the Machine Assembly No.1 was officially connected to the national power grid for commercial electricity generation.

Machine Assembly No.1 of Hai Duong BOT Thermal Power Plant is officially connected to the national power grid


On the 24th November, the representative of Jaks Power Company Limited, the investor of the Hai Duong BOT Thermal Power Plant (Kinh Mon), said that as of 19:00 on 23rd November, the Company has completed all the performance tests, initial capacity test run of Machine Assembly No.1. At 0:00 on 24th November, the Machine Assembly No.1 was officially connected to the national power grid for commercial electricity generation. Machine Assembly No.1 has a capacity of 600 MW. It is expected that in early December, Machine Assembly No.2 will be put into commissioning.

So, after nearly 10 years of construction, Hai Duong BOT Thermal Power Plant has officially generated commercial electricity. The plant was built on an area of nearly 200 hectares in Quang Thanh commune, with a total investment of about USD 2.2 billion. The operation of the plant will contribute to overcome the risk of power shortage in the coming time, promoting socio-economic development.
