Representatives of 12 Vietnam trade offices abroad have worked with a number of Hai Duong enterprises and cooperatives to connect trade and expand export markets.
The Hai Duong Department of Industry and Trade held an event on November 26 to connect and introduce products of enterprises and cooperatives in the province to representatives of 12 Vietnam trade offices abroad, including potential markets like Chile, China, Japan, Singapore, Spain, Egypt, and Cambodia.
The delegation paid a working visit to V-Phuc Green Agriculture Cooperative in Kim Thanh district, Hoang Giang JSC. in Hai Duong city, and Chu Dau Ceramics JSC. in Nam Sach district, whose main exports are fresh fruits, dried agricultural products, mung bean cakes, and ceramics.
At the meetings, members of the delegation gave a brief overview of the host countries’ markets and expressed their willingness to actively connect and provide information so that Hai Duong's enterprises and cooperatives can exploit new markets to boost exports.
The cooperative and businesses took this chance to grasp information related to technical barriers when entering new markets and keep in touch with the Vietnam trade offices abroad to maintain information channels and expand consumption markets in the coming time.
Hai Duong's export value in the first 10 months of 2024 was estimated at 8.528 billion USD, an increase of 8.5% over the same period in 2023. Textiles, footwear, electronic components, and office machines all recorded high export turnover. The recovery of major markets such as the US, the European Union (EU), and Japan is the reason for the increase in export value.
