Phu Dien High-tech and Organic Agriculture Cooperative built 3 ha of greenhouses in 2022, 12 of which, covering a total area of 2 ha, are used to plant 2,000 Shine Muscat grape trees, which grow well though the soil in Phong Kim hamlet is not really favorable. This is the largest Shine Muscat grape growing area in Vietnam, according to engineer Nguyen Dao Ho. The trees were first harvested in July 2024 Eight out of the 12 greenhouses were harvested before typhoon Yagi, with a yield of more than 4 tons. The grapes grown in Hai Duong were of the same quality as those imported from South Korea, with beautiful bunches, succulent fruits, and delicious taste, but priced at only 300,000 - 400,000 VND/kg, 800,000 - 900,000 VND/kg lower than imported grapes Shine Muscat grapes of Phu Dien High-tech and Organic Agriculture Cooperative have been certified as 3-star OCOP products and ordered by customers in many provinces and cities across Vietnam The farm will be fully exploited as from 2025 with an expected output of 20 – 25 kg of fruit/ tree Phu Dien High-tech and Organic Agriculture Cooperative also as approximately 1 ha of cucumbers, providing jobs for many local laborers with per capita income of 8 – 9 million VND/ month The cooperative’s grape and cucumber growing models have contributed to promoting hi-tech agriculture and created conditions for An Phu commune to meet criteria on production organization in new-style rural building.
