Braving adverse weather to build two bridges across Kinh Thay river

Under the scorching June sun, hundreds of engineers and workers are working tirelessly at the construction sites of Van and Tan An bridges in Hai Duong province to soon connect both banks of the Kinh Thay river.
Van bridge, nearly 900 m long and 12 m wide, is part of a project to build a road and a bridge connecting national highway 37’s section in Chi Linh city with the access road to Trieu bridge in Kinh Mon town. The project has a total length of approximately 13.07 km, including 9.7 km for the main route and 3.37 km for two branches, and an investment of 1.296 trillion VNDThe construction is being carried out by a consortium comprising Construction Investment JSC. No. 18, Phoenix Construction and Trading JSC., and Viet A Electrical Construction and Industrial Development Consulting JSC. The contractor is currently focusing on building the bridge piers and casting Super T girders. The project is expected to be completed by September 2026Not far from there, Tan An bridge, part of a project to build a bridge and a route to national highway 18’s section in Chi Linh city, is also in full swing. The project spans a total length of 3.485 km, including the over 572 m long and 12 m wide bridge, crossing Chi Linh city and Nam Sach district. The total investment in this project is 600 billion VNDSince its groundbreaking in February 2024, the Tan An bridge project has reached about 20% completion. Piers T8, T9, and T10 have been completed, while the remaining ones are under construction, with work progressing on their foundations, bases, and excavation pits. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of this yearThe project is being executed by a consortium including Construction Investment JSC.
