Bui Thi Xuan bridge design inspired by Chu Dau pottery

The design “Tinh Hoa Viet”, first prize winner in the design contest for Bui Thi Xuan bridge, is inspired by Chu Dau pottery

The People’s Committee of Hai Duong city on April 3 announced the result of a design contest for Bui Thi Xuan bridge under the city traffic development project.

The first prize went to the design “Tinh Hoa Viet” (Vietnamese Quintessence) by Highway Engineering Consultant JSC.

The design was inspired by Chu Dau ceramics, typical handicrafts of Hai Duong.

It also evokes the image of female general Bui Thi Xuan who was good at archery, horsemanship, and elephant training.

Bui Thi Xuan bridge, a permanent grade 1 traffic work, will be built with reinforced concrete and prestressed reinforced concrete across the Thai Binh river in Ngoc Chau and Nam Dong wards and Tien Tien commune.

The city authorities will carry out the next investment procedures and steps for construction based on the contest result.
