500 kV Hai Phong – Thai Binh and 220 kV Hai Phong – Gia Loc transmission lines are two power transmission projects to pass through Hai Duong province.
Standing Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Hai Duong province Luu Van Ban held a working session with the National Power Transmission Corporation on June 11 to discuss measures to accelerate the progress of two transmission projects traversing the province.
Those are the 500 kV Hai Phong – Thai Binh line and the 220 kV Hai Phong – Gia Loc one.
Standing Vice Chairman Luu Van Ban emphasized that these are two nationally significant projects under the direction of the Prime Minister, with a required completion deadline of August 2025, making their timelines extremely urgent. Therefore, departments, sectors, and localities must promptly begin work with the highest level of determination.
The National Power Transmission Corporation and consulting units must closely coordinate with local authorities along the transmission lines to clearly define boundaries, routes, and relevant data on houses and structures to be cleared, enabling localities to develop land acquisition and site clearance plans.
The 500 kV Hai Phong – Thai Binh transmission line project involves the construction of a 500 kV dual-circuit transmission line, approximately 38.3 km in length. It starts at the 500 kV Hai Phong substation and ends at the 500 kV Thai Binh substation. The line runs for about 10.1 km through Tu Ky district.
The 220 kV Hai Phong – Gia Loc transmission line project spans the districts of An Lao and Tien Lang of Hai Phong city and the districts of Tu Ky, Ninh Giang, and Gia Loc of Hai Duong province, with a total length of approximately 31.84 km. The section passing through Hai Duong province is about 24.45 km long.
These projects aim to ensure a safe and stable electricity supply for Hai Phong city, Hai Duong province, and neighboring regions.
