Turning Hai Duong into dynamic industrial zone of Hong river delta

Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Pham Xuan Thang appreciates planning ideas for a dynamic industrial zone of Hong river delta in Hai Duong

Mr. Pham Xuan Thang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of Hai Duong province, Chairman of the provincial People's Council, on July 19 afternoon worked with consultancies to hear reports on planning ideas to develop a dynamic industrial zone in Thanh Mien and Binh Giang districts.

Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Pham Xuan Thang assessed that the planning ideas to develop a dynamic industrial zone reported by Saigon Telecom Technology JSC. (Saigontel) and the other consultancies stuck close to the development orientation and target stated in the resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress and reflected Hai Duong's aspiration to become a modern industrial province and a dynamic industrial zone of Hong river delta with three pillars: hi-tech industry, service industry, and ecological industry.

The Secretary of the provincial Party Committee suggested that the consultancies absorb opinions of participants and supplement a number of contents to perfect their ideas to highlight the specific potential and distinct strengths of Hai Duong and the region planned; continue to stick to development strategies in the resolutions of the 13th National Party Congress and the 17th provincial Party Congress and supplement and update data to properly assess the current position of Hai Duong province in the region; and expand the boundaries and scope of research to over 5,000 ha for the industrial zone to have enough stature to attract investment.

The Secretary of the provincial Party Committee assigned the Department of Transport to coordinate with local authorities to give advice on enlarging the existing roads and add plans for new ones to facilitate the connection of traffic systems within the region and with the intersection of Ha Noi – Hai Phong expressway in Binh Giang.

The Department of Planning and Investment should propose and include regional traffic works in the medium-term public investment plan for the 2021 – 2025 period and 2022 to soon begin investment.

The Department of Information and Communications should give advice on planning the regional digital transformation infrastructure to ensure synchronization and modernity.

According to the planning ideas, the dynamic industrial zone will cover an area of about 4,000 – 5,000 ha in Thanh Mien and Binh Giang districts.

The zone will have a convenient traffic system after projects to build East – West and North – South axial roads in Thanh Mien district connected to Ha Noi – Hai Phong – Ha Long expressway in Binh Giang are completed.

The dynamic industrial zone will have the subdivisions: hi-tech specialized and ecological industrial parks, an urban area, an industrial service center, an innovative and creative center, a commercial, service, and medical area, and a logistic one.
