Hai Duong’s typical dishes are popular thanks to their unique cooking methods, rich and traditional flavors.
Hai Duong has three out of 121 typical Vietnamese dishes freshly certified by the Vietnam Culinary Culture Association (VCCA) in the first phase of the project “Building and developing Vietnamese culinary culture into a national brand”.
Those are banh cuon (steamed rice rolls), banh dau xanh (mung bean cake), and cha ruoi (fried ragworms).
These dishes are popular among local people as well as tourists thanks to their unique cooking methods, rich and traditional flavors. Some of them have been exported to various countries.
They were nominated to the VCCA by the provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and all recognized.
This is the second time Hai Duong has had dishes certified by the association.
