The Sinh – Hoa Temple Festival in Chi Linh city, Hai Duong province, will be held over three days, from June 1 to 3 (corresponding to the 6th to 8th days of the 5th lunar month).

A cao yet (proclamation) ceremony is to take place on June 1. June 2 will feature a moc duc (bathing) ceremony, involving the changing of garments for Holy Mother Thach Ban and Saint Phi Bong Hieu Thien.

The main festival day on June 3 will include key ceremonies such as the welcoming of the spirit of the Saint, incense offerings in commemoration of the Saint and the Holy Mother, followed by a thanksgiving ritual.

The Sinh – Hoa temple complex is dedicated to the worship of Saint Phi Bong and dates back to the Nguyen Dynasty era in what was formerly An Mo commune, Chi Ngai district, now An Mo hamlet, Le Loi commune, Chi Linh city.

Based on historical records and local legends, Sinh and Hoa temples were originally built in the 11th century. The current structures were restored and renovated in the 19th and early 20th centuries.

These temples are among Vietnam’s most sacred and well-known spiritual sites, especially revered for fertility prayers.
